Body Image and Loneliness

Abstract
I am interested in adolescent social and emotional well-being, with a focus on peer relations. The current study will examine the association between body image and psychosocial development. Our hypothesis is that adolescents who are dissatisfied with their bodies will feel less-liked and more rejected by their peers than adolescents who are satisfied with their bodies. Gender differences will be explored as well as the impact of negative body image on general life satisfaction.
