Digitalization in Vocational Teacher Training

 

Teachers are nowadays expected to include digital media as learning medium and as learning content into their professional teaching knowledge. Therefore, pre-service teachers should expand their own media literacy and knowledge about digitalization. In an upcoming project we (1) support university lecturers in advancing their teaching in terms of blended learning, (2) develop a digital feedback tool for practice phases, and (3) facilitate content-specific learning with a learning management system. We will work with blended learning scenarios, online collaboration tools, virtual/augmented reality, explanatory videos and other digital tools to foster digitalization in teacher training studies and to support university lecturers and pre-service teachers in an important topic of tomorrow’s vocational schools.
