Aggressive traits in adolescents: Influence of parents' socialization styles and of attachment
Abstract
The aim of this project is to assess the effect of family practices as well
as of other individual, relational, and family variables in the development
of aggressive traits in adolescents. The project involves self-report data
collection from 600 adolescents and their two parents in a smaller
subsample. In a previous study, we developed a questionnaire (CADI) that
capture different aspects of aggressiveness and validated it in a population
of 1000 adolescents of both genders. A Spanish adaptation of the Inventory
of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA, Armsdem and Greenberg, 1987) has
recently been conducted, where a one-dimension structure was found.
