TUB Teaching 2.0: Teachers’ Diagnostics

This project aims at (1) developing and implementing a framework for learning how to construct and optimize student tasks for goal specific learning activities and diagnostic purposes as well as (2) developing a computer adaptive Test (CAT) for measuring cognitive states in the diagnostic process. Target groups are pre-service teachers and teachers with different levels of expertise. A specific goal is to integrate current real-life expertise, such as knowledge and skills from experts in applied vocational fields as well as from teachers with diagnostic expertise. The project mainly builds on theories of information processing and judgment formation as well as research on diagnostic competence and clinical case-based reasoning.
